Hi, I'm Kay.
I worked as a caregiver for 14 years before switching to design. That job taught me to notice what people need before they say it out loud: watching, adjusting, trying again. Turns out that's also how I design.
My visual background is in photography, but I've always been more interested in the ethics of looking than in making things beautiful. Photography theory, the kind that asks what it means to frame something, who gets to be seen, and what we're really doing when we capture a moment, shaped how I think about interfaces. What you choose to show always implies what you're choosing to hide.
I run user research, build prototypes in Figma, test with real users, and work with AI tools and voice design. I have a UI Design certification with a Voice UI specialization.
Outside work: cars, Dark Souls, electric guitar, and walking (yes, very German).
